The Role You'll take a leading role in the design, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering projects, working closely with directors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions.
Depending on experience, the role offers clear scope for technical leadership, client-facing responsibility, and team management .
Key responsibilities include: Leading the detailed design of drainage (SuDS), highways, and external works Managing projects from concept through to construction delivery Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, reports, and calculations Acting as a key point of contact for clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior and intermediate engineers Contributing to bids, fee proposals, and project strategy (Principal level) About You Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar) Strong experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy Solid technical background in drainage and highway design standards Confident using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or similar) Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE (or equivalent) Comfortable leading projects and engaging directly with clients This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer looking to take the next step within a supportive, forward-thinking Bristol consultancy, offering real influence over project delivery and team development.
