Aspiring Psychologist - Mental Health Youth Support
We are looking for a Mental Health Youth Support worker to join our mental health school in Oxford. You will support students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and help them develop skills to manage their emotions and succeed academically.
Responsibilities as a Mental Health Youth Support Worker
* Develop students' social skills, emotional regulation and academic engagement through therapy in a supportive environment.
* Engage with students and ensure they receive a balanced mix of education and targeted interventions.
* Provide specialised and tailored support to those with severe SEMH needs.
* Create trusting, supportive relationships that promote well-being and resilience.
What You Need to Be a Great Mental Health Youth Support Worker
* Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting children.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.
* A positive attitude and the capacity to hit the ground running.
* Previous experience in a classroom setting is valued but not essential.
* Must hold an Enhanced DBS check.
