As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be critical to keeping production running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You'll work on a variety of mechanical plant and equipment, supporting both day-to-day output and long-term performance improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out planned mechanical maintenance on production plant and equipment
Delivering reactive and corrective maintenance, minimising downtime and production losses
Improving and modifying machinery to maximise availability, reliability, and performance
Diagnosing mechanical faults and advising site management on effective solutions
Supporting engineering projects, installations, and refurbishments
Completing dynamic risk assessments and maintaining safe systems of work
Managing spare parts awareness and maintaining accurate maintenance documentation
Updating and administering the CMMS
Contributing to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
Providing maintenance updates during daily production and operational review meetingsAbout You
You'll be a strong fit if you have:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Background working in production, manufacturing, or processing environments. Ideally you will have worked as a Mechanical Engineer or Technician in the waste & recycling sector.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
A proactive approach to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
