A family-run business in the Oil and Gas industry is seeking a Project Coordinator, paying up to £45,000, to join their growing team.
The main head office will be based in the Tamworth area, but the company is looking to establish a Dorking office from the ground up, starting with this hire.
Initially, you will work from home until the office is finalized. Once operational, the team will work 1 to 2 days in the office per week. Every few months, the team will be expected to travel to Tamworth for a day, with all expenses and travel arrangements paid for.
The role of the Project Coordinator involves supporting logistics and coordinating engineers to major sites across the UK to assist with maintenance emergencies. Responsibilities include:
1. Liaising and communicating with engineers to secure their availability for maintenance tasks.
2. Coordinating travel arrangements, including hire cars and helicopter journeys.
3. Booking hotels and couriers.
4. Liaising with clients via phone and email, managing repair deadlines.
5. Organizing engineers to draw up repair plans.
6. Handling quotations for jobs.
7. Assisting with procurement and shipping of materials to site.
8. Managing site inductions, health and safety, and other certifications.
9. Invoicing clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment with heavy coordination and organizational responsibilities. You should be able to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously, including constantly moving deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with technical staff, engineers, and clients. Thinking creatively and problem-solving on your feet are crucial for success in this role.
