Qualified Social Worker

Pay rate: £39 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated children with disabilities team. As part of this team, you will handle a mix of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Proceedings cases. You will have a passion for making a difference to children and their families. The role offers flexible working—once you complete your visits and statutory requirements, you will have control over your own diary. Throughout your work, you will uphold and champion best practices and collaborate with agencies including police and health to ensure the best outcomes and sustainable positive change. The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care intervention is no longer required.

Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.

* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.

* Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues.

* Skilled in mediation and negotiation.
* Excellent at building relationships with children and families.

* 4+ years qualified.

* Manage an agreed caseload.

* Support and advise unqualified staff and students.
