Role Overview
We're hiring a Network Engineer to design, secure, and maintain robust network systems supporting critical infrastructure. The role blends traditional networking with hybrid cloud (Azure), with a strong emphasis on Fortinet technologies and network security.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Portsmouth.
Key Responsibilities
* Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls and security appliances
* Monitor performance and resolve network issues
* Support Azure cloud and hybrid networking
* Implement and maintain network security controls
Required Experience
* Hands‑on experience with Fortinet technologies
* Strong knowledge of traditional networking principles
* Experience in Azure cloud networking
* Understanding of firewalls, access controls, and security standards
* Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
* Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP, or cloud certifications
* Automation or scripting experience
* Background in utilities or infrastructure environments
