Founded in 1987 by a dedicated group of foster parents, we are proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission, providing a comprehensive range of support services. Our Integrated Services Programme (ISP) is designed to ensure that children and foster parents have access to the resources they need, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker in our South London office, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high-quality care for children. This is a full-time position with a salary of up to £39,500 per annum, plus a £3,000 car allowance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload for effective supervision.
* Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling foster parents to enhance their practice and comply with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.
* Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is:

Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
* Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
* Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
* Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
* Holds a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
