Job title: Informationsystems Technical Advisor
Duration:1 year extendable up to 3years
Location: Halifax NovaScotia (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
Analyze intricate technical challenges and recommend solutions
Provide technical guidance and bestpractices around solution implementations upgrades etc.
Design technical solutions and assist with thedevelopment of Detailed Architecture Design Documents
Plan and create the structure for technical solutions
Assist with evaluation and selection ofsoftware and hardware solutions
Suggestintegration methods with other internal IT systems
Supervise the execution of projects/programs includingconducting code reviews
Gain anunderstanding of systems and interfaces in place at the clientsorganization and be able to identify cross impacts.
Lead resolution of technical issues lead discussionwith technical resources drive to solution engage project manageras needed defect resolution etc.
Guidesoftware development teams and address technicalconcerns
Translate complex requirementsinto functional architecture
Offerguidance to technical team members
Ensurethe implementation of agreedupon architecture and infrastructure
Lead development of work effort estimatesand plans for technical work (application and infrastructure) incollaboration with project manager
Playlead role in setting up development and test environments
Identify technical cross impacts withother projects or operational work
Identify any technical risks and contribution to risk responsestrategy
Review vendor engagements (SOWfor technical aspects)
Engaged in allphases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) includingclient interactions requirements gathering application designdevelopment testing debugging deployment maintenance andenhancements
Participate in theinvestigation of opportunities for improvement and makerecommendations. May consult technical equipment/software vendorsand current users in these evaluations
Stayuptodate with the latest technology trends anddevelopments
Conduct transition tooperations with operational teams
Otherduties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum education level of a University Degree or equivalentCollege diploma with combined work experience
Previous work as a technical architect
Familiarity with coding languages
Understanding of various operating systems
Familiarity with Cloud technologies
Strong leadership and team building skills
Strong decision making and conflict management skills.Ability to coach motivate build trust negotiate andcommunicate
