Lawyer (Hybrid) needed in Sheffield, up to £60ph PAYE - Reference: 000A E8A7 / 1
We are looking for a lawyer with ideally significant experience of local authority governance to provide short term corporate governance support to cover for a period of staff absence.
Work will include:
advising on the legal requirements and limitations of a committee system of governance (including area committees)
advising on the legal requirements of the Councils Constitution and contributing to a review of the constitution
contributing to/advising on/reviewing/drafting policy documents and protocols connected with the operation of the constitution and the committee system
advising on the scheme of delegations within the Constitution and the requirements for reports to decision-makers
advising on local government constitutional and administrative law
attending meetings as required
Candidates must ideally have current experience of advising on/drafting local authority constitutions.
This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
