We have a fantastic opportunity for a Weekend Shift Electrical Engineer to be based at Diageo Shieldhall!
Salary of £47,668.00, including shift allowance in addition to a competitive benefits package with pension, shares scheme and bonus.
About The Role
As an Electrical Production Engineer, you’ll play a vital role within our Packaging Line Craft team, bringing your technical expertise to keep high-speed packaging lines running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where your proactive attitude and problem-solving skills will make a real impact on performance, safety, and quality.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Ensure operational excellence by supporting asset care and performing planned and reactive maintenance.
* Drive continuous improvement in line performance, safety, quality, and delivery.
* Collaborate and mentor operators and team leaders in autonomous maintenance and fixing issues.
* Lead with safety first, working in full compliance with lockout/tagout procedures and electrical standards.
* Contribute to team success through improvement projects, effective shift handovers, and active participation in Tier meetings.
Shifts
As a Weekend Electrical Engineer, you will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.

Your ability to adapt and innovate makes you a trusted partner in delivering quality and safety at every stage.
Key Skills & Experience
* Technical Expertise – Recognised apprenticeship or HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Systems Knowledge – Comfortable working with SAP and maintenance systems to ensure smooth operations.
* Problem-Solving & Process Improvement – Structured approach to identifying issues and driving efficiency.
* Industry Experience – Ideally FMCG or high-speed manufacturing, with strong understanding of asset care systems and compliance standards.
* Multiskilled Approach – Electrical core with a willingness to broaden skills and embrace further development.
* Safety & Quality Commitment – Dedicated to maintaining high standards in compliance and operational integrity.
