We have an opening for a temporary Executive chef for a six month contract, ending 2nd January 2026. The location will be over our two restaurants; Escabeche in West Bridgford and Baresca in Nottingham.
This is a hands on role to cover our executive chef during her absence.
We are looking for a kind-hearted, experienced chef with a positive mindset and a real passion for food and outstanding service.
The main functions include:
* Overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations over our two sites, including food preparation & cooking.
* Managing rotas across the two restaurants.
* Creating and assisting with menu and recipe development.
* Supervising and training kitchen staff of all levels.
* Overseeing the cleanliness of the kitchen and completing due diligence to ensure we retain our 5*EHO.
* Quality control on food taste, portion and presentation
Required skills & Experience:
* Food safety certification and history of 5* EHO kitchens.
* Extensive culinary experience at head chef/ executive chef level.
* Strong leadership & organisational skills.
* Excellent cooking ability in all areas including pastry & baking.
* Adaptability & flexibility to work between our different sites.
