Responsibilities
* Providing Bespoke one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with a range of needs, helping them to access the mainstream curriculum.
* Working closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and lessons to ensure all children can participate and feel part of the school community.
* Assisting in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual learning goals.
* Encouraging pupils to build confidence, resilience, and crucial social skills to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
* Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
Requirements
* A demonstrable background in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
* An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing for a new one).
* The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
* Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to adapt to different classroom needs.
* Specific training in areas such as Team Teach, Makaton, PECS, or similar strategies is highly desirable.
