Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week
About the Role
Birmingham City Council offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced, qualified Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join the Central Mortuary in Birmingham City Centre. The mortuary provides post mortem services for the Birmingham and Solihull Coroner Area, serving a population of 1.3 million with approximately 1,800 post mortems annually.
Candidate Requirements
* Motivated and enthusiastic individual
* Experience as an Anatomical Pathology Technologist
* Holding the RSPH Certificate in Anatomical Pathology Technician or RSPH Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology
* Willing to undertake the RSPH Level 4 Diploma after induction and gaining relevant experience
Additional Duties
Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, including weekends and bank holidays, for which additional remuneration is payable.
