Project Officer – Children’s Services (REF 000A 445E / 1)
Pay rate: £18.35 hr PAYE. Role length: 4‑month opening assignment. Job type: Temporary / Hybrid. Location: Barnsley, Postcode S70 2DR. Hours: Full time (3 days onsite). Contract type: Interim.
The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join the Early Start and Families Service. You’ll support the delivery of key children’s services projects, including Family Hubs and Early Years Childcare, helping to drive practice improvement, performance and service development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the coordination and delivery of projects within Children’s Services.
* Assist with project planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely, quality outcomes.
* Maintain project documentation and risk registers.
* Analyse performance data to support continuous improvement.
* Liaise effectively with internal teams and partner agencies.
What the client is looking for:
* Relevant Level 2 qualification and/or Project Management training (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in project coordination or management.
* Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
* Knowledge of children’s services or similar public sector environments.
