As an Exams and Admin Officer in our Prison Education team, you’ll help keep education programmes running smoothly so colleagues can focus on what matters most: supporting learners to build skills for the future.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate qualification, attendance, and learner records. The work you do will support positive outcomes for learners and help ensure our programmes deliver a real, lasting impact on individuals and communities.
What you’ll do as an Exams and Admin Officer
You’ll Be Entrusted To
* Input all qualification data onto national databases
* Maintain records and documentation with accuracy and care
* Monitor filing systems and ensure records are stored securely and kept up to date
* Carry out administrative duties to support efficient operations
* Prepare reports and analysis relating to key performance targets
* Take departmental minutes when required
* Provide administrative support across the wider team to cover colleague absence
* Participate in mandatory and refresher training to remain up to date
* Maintain learner records
* Track learner progress
* Update and track attendance
* Manage learner registration and certification processes with awarding bodies
* Input and download data for reporting
* Carry out other general administrative duties as required

Vetting And Checks
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
