Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Lead at HCRG Care Group! The role is part of The Learning Enterprise team, which is a government-approved apprenticeship training provider for HCRG Care Group and other organizations.
The Quality and Compliance Lead plays a key operational role in maintaining and improving quality across apprenticeship and vocational delivery. The post holder will lead on developing and embedding quality assurance systems, oversee internal quality assurance across all program areas, and ensure that apprentices have a consistent, high-quality learning experience from enrollment to End Point Assessment.
The role is a hybrid working position based at our Runcorn head office, with opportunities to work from home to achieve a good work-life balance.
Travel to services may be required when necessary.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead on managing and embedding quality assurance and compliance systems across all apprenticeship programs to ensure full compliance with ESFA funding rules, Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework (EIF), and awarding organization standards.
2. Conduct robust internal quality assurance (IQA) for Leadership and Management qualifications, ensuring valid, reliable, and consistent assessment practices across delivery teams.
3. Line manage quality and compliance staff, providing coaching, performance monitoring, and support to ensure consistent application of IQA and compliance procedures, and high-quality outcomes for learners.

The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
* Recognized IQA qualification (e.g., V1, IQA Award, or equivalent)
* Assessor qualification: A1, TAQA, CAVA, or D32/D33
* Recognized teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., AET, PTLLS)
* Minimum 3 years experience in a Lead IQA or quality role in work-based learning or apprenticeships
* Experience in IQA for Leadership and Management and Business Support apprenticeships (e.g., ILM or CMI L3/L5); team leadership experience
* Knowledge of Ofsted EIF, apprenticeship standards, and EPA requirements
* Understanding of safeguarding and prevent agendas in vocational settings
* Experience developing and delivering CPD and training for assessors, coaches, or tutors
* Confidence using digital systems like BUD, BKSB, Cognassist
* Excellent communication, mentoring, and feedback skills
* Willingness to serve as DSO or deputy DSO (full training provided)
Desirable:
* Experience in further education, training, or apprenticeships
* Experience with healthcare apprenticeships
* Experience supporting ALS, neurodiversity, or tailored learning support; participation in Ofsted inspections or EQA audits
* Safeguarding Level 3 and Prevent Lead Training
* Experience as a designated safeguarding lead or deputy
* Mental Health First Aider or Neurodiversity Champion
