About the role
We are seeking apassionate, resilient, and reliable 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with high‑level social, emotional and mental health needs on a long‑term supply basis. This is a rewarding role for someone who can build trust, maintain consistency, and provide personalised support throughout the school day.
This job is to start ASAP, on a full-time basis until the end of the summer term.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH or additional needs
2. Be patient, calm, and able to use de‑escalation strategies
3. Build strong, positive relationships and set clear boundaries
4. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support
5. Bemitted, adaptable, and able to work independently
