First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Welding Instructor on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Welding Instructor:
1. Promoting and supporting apprenticeships.
2. Training young people through engineering study and apprenticeship programs.
3. Delivering regulated qualifications (comprehensive training and support will be provided).
4. Using personal and industry experience to guide learners to achieve their full potential
Skills and Qualifications for the Welding Instructor:
5. Knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, plating and sheet metal work and with expertise in one of these disciplines
6. Qualified to City & Guilds Craft certificate or equivalent
7. A strong understanding of Health & Safety practices and procedures.
8. Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
9. A passion for teaching, empowering learners, and sharing personal and professional experiences.
Desirable:
10. Assessor and teaching qualifications (not essential as full training will be provided).
11. Certified TWI coded weld inspector/trainer (not essential as full training will be provided).
Benefits for the Welding Instructor:
12. 42 days annual leave (including bank holidays). We ask that all staff save 7 days to take during the Christmas shut down between Christmas and New Year. Holidays can be requested at any other time of the year (we do not work school term times).
13. Our working hours are: Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 4:15 and Friday 8:00 – 4:00.
14. We also offer an annual bonus payment dependent on organisational performance

Location: Hull/Grimsby
Salary: £39,328 – £40,990 per annum
