Balfour Beatty is seeking Assistant Engineering Managers to join their Power T&D team. Candidates should have a background in project engineering/management or design engineering, with an understanding of electrical construction projects.

The main responsibility is to support the Engineering Manager and Delivery Teams in all design and engineering aspects of projects, from initiation to completion. The role involves ensuring project scope clarity, meeting design requirements, and delivering solutions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include:
* Coordinating contract requirements post-award with Project Managers, clients, suppliers, and departments.
* Meeting with Design Delivery teams to identify project needs, timelines, and costs.
* Controlling and reporting workload progress, estimating completion, and addressing potential issues.
* Reporting contract scope variations, with approval protocols.
* Developing and revising detailed design project plans.
* Monitoring project performance for timely delivery.
* Preparing and submitting project status reports.
* Specifying and quantifying equipment/materials for optimal benefit.
* Collaborating with stakeholders for efficient project execution.
* Coordinating engineering activities for projects with clients like National Grid, SSE, Scottish Power, or DNO network.
Qualifications:
* Degree or relevant experience.
* Experience in engineering design and project administration.
* Strong administration, project control, and interpersonal skills.
* Fundamental engineering and project management knowledge.
