Senior Business Analyst – Front Office Trading Technology
We’re partnering with a leading global financial services firm to hire a Senior Business Analyst to support front-office trading technology initiatives.
This is a high-impact role sitting between business and technology, working on advanced trading platforms, market microstructure, and end-to-end trade lifecycle processes.
The Role
You will act as a key bridge between stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, translated, and delivered through robust technical solutions.
You’ll gain exposure to:
* Equity trading workflows (market open, continuous trading, auctions)
* Market connectivity and execution platforms
* Trade lifecycle processes and market microstructure
* Low-latency, high-performance systems
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with business stakeholders, users, and technology teams to gather and analyse requirements
* Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
* Work closely with front-office development teams on system design and integration
* Support the delivery of scalable, high-performance trading solutions
* Drive project planning, timelines, and successful execution of initiatives
* Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation
* Present and articulate solutions, designs, and architecture to senior stakeholders
* Ensure alignment across vendors and internal teams throughout delivery
Requirements
* 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst / Solution Lead within financial services
* Strong experience within equities trading / equity broking environments
* Deep understanding of EMEA market structure and trading workflows
* Experience with OMS / EMS / market connectivity platforms
* Knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput systems (Java / C++)
* Strong system design experience (architecture, integration)
* Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins
