Salary: £40,579.20 inclusive of allowances +5% additional for recognition of weekend working
Contract: Permanent, full time - 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday

We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Hollesley Bay, a Category D Adult/Male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Hollesley Bay runs like a self‑contained town – hundreds of people keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to smooth and safe operations that impact prisoners, staff, visitors, families and the wider community.
As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues in plumbing, carpentry, painting and other trades, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone.

Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S), e.g. 2367 or 2357
* Two years' experience as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
