Overview:
We're supporting a specialist insurer in hiring a driven and technically strong financial accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. This is a key role within the UK insurance entity, providing full oversight of quarterly and annual reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ownership of quarterly group reporting deliverables to group
2. Lead preparation of annual statutory accounts, manage auditor queries, and ensure all technical reviews are addressed
3. Deliver accurate financials for the regulated insurance entity, with full end-to-end reporting responsibility
4. Support year-end audit process and ensure timely sign-off of accounts
5. Liaise across the wider finance team and key stakeholders within the group
Ideal Candidate:
6. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally with post-qualified experience in industry
7. Previous experience in insurance or financial services preferred
8. Strong understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting
9. Comfortable working independently and driving processes through
10. Open to candidates from audit (Big 4/top 10) with strong client-facing experience in FS or insurance
