Passionate about CBT and want to join a welcoming and dynamic team? Come and join East Sussex CAMHS where your skills, experience, and ideas will be appreciated and valued!
We are looking for a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist
who is interested in working in systemic and innovative ways to improve outcomes for children and young people. We particularly welcome applicants from minoritized backgrounds and those demonstrating an interest in increasing young people's participation in shaping CAMHS delivery. BABCP accreditation is required for Band 7 positions.
Our team has strong links to universities and researchers and is actively developing a new stepped-care model, including specialist clinical groups for OCD and trauma. Working in secondary care offers the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from highly specialist nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychotherapists with training in systemic, DBT, creative, analytic, and CBT approaches.
Within Sussex CAMHS, we have a strong psychology and CBT team. You will be well-supported with training, CPD, and opportunities for career development.
Role responsibilities include:
1. Participating in the core multidisciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team.
2. Engaging in multi-agency liaison work as necessary.
3. Participating in supervision, training, and governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS.
You will be part of a busy, lively, and welcoming CAMHS team offering a range of individual, group, and systemic interventions, involved in innovative evaluation, research projects, and service developments. You will be encouraged to develop your skills, ideas, and interests to further your expertise and contribute to team growth.
We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people, and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.
