Senior Bookkeeper
Senior Bookkeeper position for someone who wants more than routine processing. You will keep standards high across a portfolio, ensure files are genuinely accounts‑ready, and support the wider team with quality control and structure. The role: You will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients and act as the go‑to for bookkeeping quality and delivery. You will also review work completed by juniors and support their development, ensuring consistency across files and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Own bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using cloud accounting software
* Ensure accurate double entry, reconciliations, and clean ledgers to trial balance
* Prepare and review VAT returns, including checks, corrections, and query resolution
* Maintain strong balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts (VAT, debtors, creditors, payroll where applicable)
