We are looking for a creative and professionally curious Social Worker to join our Through Care team based in Eastbourne and across East Sussex.
The team works with young people aged who are care experienced or care leavers.
The role involves building relationships with the young people to support them and promote their development, identity and wellbeing whilst working collaboratively with their carers and the professional network to progress individual Care Plans and Pathway Plans.
We are looking for candidates who:
* Are able to engage effectively using creativity, compassion and authority to overcome resistance
* Can build relationships, and communicate, while maintaining professional boundaries in complex and emotionally challenging situations
* Hold a recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with the professional regulatory body
* Demonstrate knowledge of legal and policy frameworks that informs and mandates social work practice
* Recognise the impact of trauma and evidence an understanding of attachment and child development
