Astute's Power Team are supporting an International Power Generation company who have a number of Gas Fired Power Stations across the UK. Their Spalding Power Station comprises of a recently upgraded Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant, capable of producing up to 950MW plus an Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant with a capacity of 300MW. The Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance across a variety of critical assets including motors, switchgear, sensors, PLC / DCS / SCADA systems to ensure maximum plant availability. Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Technician role: Reporting directly to the EC&I Lead as an EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for: Carrying out fault diagnosis, repairs, planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all EC&I assets to ensure efficient operation of the site and to maximise plant availability. This includes pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters as well as DCS and PLC control systems.
