Our 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial offers the option to work one day fewer each week (or equivalent hours) while receiving full-time pay. This may be already implemented or rolled out as staffing allows. This is a 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday role with a permanent, full-time contract.

About the role
As part of our continued growth, we now have a facilities management opportunity to join our close-knit team at Abbey Gardens School, part of Acorn Education. The successful candidate will lead maintenance and health and safety across the school, solve problems independently, maintain high standards, and lead the facilities department, deliver training and ensure practices remain outstanding in line with health and safety policies and procedures of Outcomes First Group.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with pupils in a calm and engaging manner, be resilient and innovative, and contribute to the development of a new school. Energy, passion and a commitment to high standards are key characteristics. This role offers development in a challenging, motivating and rewarding environment.

Abbey Gardens is a new addition to the Acorn Education family, opening in March/April 2026. The school will serve students aged 11 to 18, with a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
