Job Title: Customer Service & Export Administrator Department: Customer Services Location: Wirral, UK Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, 100% office based Salary: £28,000 per annum Overview We are recruiting a Customer Service & Export Administrator to join a well-established manufacturing organisation on the Wirral. You will be responsible for processing customer orders and coordinating shipments for both domestic and international markets. This role is key to ensuring smooth supply chain operations while maintaining full compliance with UK customs and international trade regulations. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and experience in export documentation are essential. Key Responsibilities Raise accurate quotations, order acknowledgements, and works orders using the EFACS ERP system Liaise with Production and Planning teams to confirm product availability and readiness for dispatch Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, customs documentation, and movement certificates for UK and international shipments Complete and process all export documentation, including Dangerous Goods Notes (DGN) for road and sea freight, ensuring hazardous goods regulations are met Obtain and review freight quotations to secure cost-effective and timely transportation solutions Coordinate with couriers and freight forwarders to arrange commercial shipments and ensure on-time delivery Ensure compliance with UK customs requirements and international trade regulations Track shipment progress and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders Resolve logistical issues and delays proactively Communicate directly with customers regarding order confirmations, shipment details, and queries Maintain accurate records for audit and regulatory purposes Support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental KPIs Provide general administrative support to the management team as required Candidate Requirements GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (minimum standard pass grades) Experience in export/import administration, logistics, or international trade Knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, and international shipping documentation Excellent administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail Strong customer service and communication skills Effective problem-solving and investigative abilities Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks to deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/logistics systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive, motivated, and adaptable approach Cultural awareness and confidence when dealing with international customers What's on Offer Opportunity to join a stable and growing organisation A varied role with responsibility across UK and international markets Supportive and friendly team environment
