Role Overview
GE Vernova Offshore Wind is seeking an experienced SOV Commissioning Manager to support offshore commissioning activities on the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm, the world’s largest offshore wind project.
The role is offshore-based and embedded onboard a Service Operation Vessel (SOV), with full responsibility for the execution and coordination of offshore commissioning activities, including energisation readiness, test & run, and handover between offshore rotations.
This is a hands-on commissioning leadership role, not a client representative or inspection position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and supervise all offshore commissioning activities within SOV scope
2. Execute and support electrical and HV commissioning, including energisation and test & run preparation
3. Coordinate daily activities with installation teams, associated works contractors and marine operations
4. Prepare and issue daily offshore progress reports and look-ahead plans (3 & 7 day)
5. Provide direct leadership to offshore commissioning teams and ensure effective handovers between rotations
