Overview
At Apex Hotels, we're entering an exciting new chapter and we're looking for a visionary Group Director of Marketing to drive our brand forward. This is a Hybrid working role. You will be at the heart of setting the direction of our marketing future, whilst leading a talented team and collaborating across the business to deliver creative, data-driven campaigns that inspire guests and drive commercial success across a growing portfolio of 8 stylish, city-centre hotels.
You will be responsible for developing, executing, delivering, and optimising comprehensive and effective marketing strategies for Apex Hotels and its sub brands, leveraging different revenue streams, channels and segments aligned to the tactical objectives, goals, and overall vision for the group.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Marketing department and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive revenue growth and profitability, increase brand visibility, and enhance the guest experience.
* Oversee the marketing mix across brand, content, campaigns, digital, design, social and public relations for the team (11 staff).
* Accountable for marketing of rooms, food and beverage, conference and events, spa and gift voucher revenue streams.
* Act as the brand custodian, enforcing the brand image at all times and overseeing positioning, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels, materials, and guest touchpoints. Enhance brand awareness and loyalty through targeted initiatives.
* Utilise data analytics to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to optimise campaigns and improve ROI/ROAS.
* Lead with a strategic mindset in hospitality marketing, digital marketing, and brand management, with a focus on delivering growth across a growing portfolio.
* Demonstrate proven expertise in marketing leadership within a complex digital environment, with strong team management skills and a track record of achieving targets.
* Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that balance digital and traditional channels to deliver compelling guest experiences.
* Adapt to changing market trends and business needs, managing multiple projects and prioritising effectively.
* Produce clear, actionable insights and reports from CRM and analytics to optimise repeat bookings and overall performance.
Qualifications
* Strategic thinker with strong hospitality marketing, digital marketing, and brand management experience; marketing qualification or degree preferred.
* Senior marketing leadership experience in hotel or hospitality industry.
* Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration capabilities in a dynamic environment.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques and tools; numerate and analytical with the ability to derive insights from data.
* Creative and innovative approach to delivering customer-focused campaigns (digital & traditional).
* Ability to manage multiple projects, organise and prioritise, with flexibility to respond to market changes.
