Role Summary
1. Responsibilities: As a Talent Acquisition Apprentice at Costello Medical, you will contribute to the smooth running of the company’s recruitment efforts, supporting across various roles and supporting in our rapid growth
2. Salary: £22,500 per annum

4. Role Type: Full-time, temporary apprenticeship
5. Start Date: This role will ideally commence in April or May 2026. However, we have other start dates available in early 2026, which occur on a monthly basis

About the Role

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Apprentice to support our growing Talent Acquisition team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the very beginning of their recruitment career who is eager to learn, develop new skills, and contribute to a busy and collaborative team.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our recruitment processes run smoothly for various positions across our service offerings and offices. You will support with a wide range of administrative tasks, such as posting job adverts, reviewing applications, booking interviews, greeting and communicating with candidates. Over time, you will gain exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle and develop the knowledge required to progress within the team.
This is a fast-paced, varied and rewarding role where you will learn from experienced Talent Acquisition colleagues and contribute to a positive candidate experience across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work towards the Level 3 Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Foundation Certificate in People Practice, which usually takes around 16 months to complete. The apprenticeship training will be provided by BPP and will include tutor support, access to a virtual learning environment and regular webinars. About You
The successful candidate will be proactive and eager to take on new challenges with a friendly, positive, and ‘can-do’ attitude. You will also value the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment.
Essential requirements for the role are:
8. Grade 6 or higher (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English; A-Levels would also be an advantage
9. Exceptional attention to detail
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
11. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
12. Excellent numerical skills
13. A commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of HR data and an understanding of its sensitive nature
14. A friendly and approachable demeanour alongside a dedication to providing excellent customer service
15. Some experience using the Microsoft Office suite is advantageous but not essential, as training would be provided

The Application Process
You are required to submit your CV and a cover letter via our online application form. In your cover letter, you must explain why you think you would be suited to the role and why you would like to join Costello Medical, with examples to support both.
Then, our recruitment process includes a telephone interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. If successful, this will be followed by a short assessment (made up of a proofreading task and written exercise) and a formal interview with senior members of our Talent Acquisition team. Our standard recruitment process lasts around 2-3 weeks, however, this can be adapted if necessary.
