We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy central finance team based within an educational setting in Bolton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional to join a supportive team on an initial 3-month temporary basis, with the potential for extension.
Your new role
In your new role, you will support the finance team with day-to-day purchase ledger duties, including:
1. Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
2. Handling supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
3. Performing supplier statement reconciliations
4. Assisting with weekly/monthly payment runs
5. Managing and responding to queries within the finance inbox
6. Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
7. Previous experience in a purchase ledger / accounts payable role
8. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
9. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
10. Confidentmunication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders
11. Experience within a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential
