Your new role
As a Technologist, you’ll be the heartbeat of continuous improvement within steel rolling operations. Acting as the Mill’s technical conscience, you’ll analyse data trends, influence production optimisation, and uphold the highest industry standards. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.Key responsibilities include:
1. Applying advanced technical insight to improve mill performance
2. Identifying and solvingplex quality issues
3. Driving proactive, customer-focused solutions
4. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients across multiple sectors
5. Monitoring and refining steel rolling processes
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for a data-savvy and hands-on Technologist with a strong academic foundation and proven problem-solving skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-driven setting and be confident presenting insights that drive tangible results.Ideal qualifications and experience:
6. Degree in Materials Science, Engineering or Physical Sciences
7. Knowledge of metallurgical testing standards
8. Familiarity with Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies
9. Experience with quality management systems such as IATF/TS 16949
10. Excellentmunication, collaboration and critical thinking skills
