We’re looking for two Specialist Support Assistants to join our Sensory Needs & Physical Difficulties team at Devon County Council. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and deliver our BSL offer across the county as part of the exciting redesign of Inclusion & Learning in Devon.
You’ll work directly with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and young people, supporting their communication and language development through British Sign Language. If you’re a native BSL user or fluent in English with minimum BSL Level 3, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing
 5. Delivering BSL interventions to Deaf/Hard of Hearing children and young people
 6. Supporting families and schools with BSL training
 7. Promoting early communication skills for children aged 0–4
 8. Collaborating with Teachers of the Deaf to assess and monitor progress
 9. Building BSL support networks for Teaching Assistants
 10. Producing clear, outcome-focused reports
