Band 4 Salary Range £30,353- £33,016 per annum
Distant Island Allowance of £2,482 per annum
This exciting post supports Long Term Conditions (LTC) services to support our Island population. There is a particular opportunity to support Hospital at Home and Allied Health Professional response at the front door and through to both hospital and community, to prevent admission and enhance early discharge from hospital.
Our team delivers services from the Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick and into the community setting including patient’s homes. We seek to deliver care at the best time and best place and work alongside a multitude of sectors to deliver best care for the individual. You will be working as part of Allied Health Professions services and expected to support Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Dietetic need. You will be working as part of a team but also as single handed practitioner. There are excellent training opportunities delivered both on and off island and supported CPD is embedded into working culture.

Key Responsibilities
* Support physiotherapy, occupational therapy and dietetic needs as part of Allied Health Professionals team.
* Deliver care at hospital, community and patient home settings.
* Assist with Hospital at Home and early discharge from hospital.
* Provide single‑handed therapy where required.
* Participate in training and CPD activities.
Essential Requirements
* Fixed‑term contract for 12 months; eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
* Compliance with Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing.
* Must be eligible for Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undergo update prior to offer.
* Experience in allied health therapy settings preferred but not mandatory.
