We are hiring for our client, a globally recognised and secure employer, who is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their team at their Belfast site. This is an exciting opportunity to work on strategic projects, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the development of innovative manufacturing processes.
The Role
* Take ownership of production lines, ensuring key KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost are met.
* Lead the introduction of new products and processes (NPI).
* Conduct problem-solving and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
* Manage safety, quality, and process improvements on an assembly line.
* Identify, purchase, and coordinate the installation of tooling, equipment, machinery, and capital expenditure projects.
* Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles throughout the product development process.
* Ensure accurate costing of new products through Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing accuracy.
* Coordinate and implement complex engineering changes.
The Person
* A degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge and experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing practices, and/or APQP.
* Experience with assembly line balancing.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
* Experience leading RCCA investigations and implementing solutions.
* Familiarity with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems is advantageous.
