Butcher/ Butchery Manager – Greens Foodfare
Job Description
We are looking for a talented individual to lead the friendly and hardworking butchery team at Greens Foodfare. This is a hands on role to manage the busy, award winning butchery section in our store
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible on a full time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing a small team of butcher and counter assistants to provide an excellent level of product and service for our loyal customer base.
5 shifts per week from Monday to Saturday rota: (6am to 3pm and 9am to 6pm shifts)
Salary will be dependant on experience.
As a Full Time Butcher/ Butchery Manager your responsibilities will include:
· Managing a team to plan, process, cut and display for the butchery counter
· Adding value and developing new products as appropriate
· Maintaining a high level of customer service through counter presentation, motivated staff and provision of high quality products.
· Managing compliance with all relevant regulations including HACCP / EHO and FSA standards.
· Driving sales through innovative products and effective management of staff, product, stock levels and wastage

· Proven track record as a skilled butcher
· Butchery management experience
· Experience in providing an appropriate offering for our customers, including development of new, added value products
· Experience in running a busy preparation area and butchery counter
· Have an excellent understanding of butchery retail, including management of suppliers and departmental costs
· Have excellent customer service skills
· A working knowledge of HACCP/EHO and health/safety procedures, including training of staff in record keeping and procedures
