Procurement Planner & Storeman
We are looking for a pro-active, forward thinking individual to join our friendly well-established company in Hailsham as a Procurement Planner & Storeman. This is a key role that will play a critical hybrid role within the company, responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, coordination, and placing orders for materials to support production. This role combines hands-on materials planning with material stores, enabling the team to operate both efficiently and proactively in getting parts ordered with suppliers and issued out to production in a timely manner.
The Planner will enhance the team's ability to manage complex part needs, improve inventory, and contribute to on time delivery by working cross-functionally with production, engineering, and suppliers. This role will directly support the procurement and production departments to improve supply chain resilience.
The role entails:
· Forecast raw materials, machined components, electrical and electronic parts requirement in line with production schedules.
· Place purchase orders timely for just in time availability of parts for production as per production schedule considering various lead times for various items required.
· Flag any long lead item that will risk production schedule
· Liaise with Production, Engineering, and other departments to align parts supply with internal needs
· Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels by placing purchase orders timely to prevent shortages or excess stock
· To kit from Bills of materials our Electronic, mechanical and PCB products.
Skills and Experiences:
· Experience working with MRP planning, preferably using NetSuite or similar
· Strong MS Excel skills
· "A super organiser" - very strong organisational skills to juggle multiple requests and priorities
· NVQ Qualification in related field
· Stock room / Material Stores experience.
