We’re seeking an experienced Senior Motor Control Systems Engineer to play a key role in developing advanced control algorithms and systems for high-performance applications. What You’ll Be Doing
* Designing and developing control algorithms for both analogue and digital systems, primarily focusing on BLDC motor control.
* Modelling systems and performing performance analysis to ensure algorithms meet customer requirements.
* Translating customer needs into sub-system requirements across mechanical, electronic, and software disciplines.
* Identifying and collaborating with suppliers to select suitable electro-mechanical components (motors and sensors).
* Defining and executing design proving plans, conducting testing, and analysing data to validate system performance.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience designing and developing digital control algorithms.
* Proficiency with MATLAB / Simulink and Embedded Coder for generating deployable control algorithms.
* Strong ability to model complex real-world systems (motors, feedback sensors, drivetrains, and electronics).
* Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging across internal and external engineering teams.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience generating sub-system or component requirements to support system architecture.
* Knowledge of Field-Oriented Control (FOC) or Space Vector PWM (SVPWM) strategies.
* Familiarity with DO-178C / DO-331 standards and associated code generation processes.
