Prospectus is delighted to be collaborating with an independent UK charity committed to developing leaders who drive social change. Our client is recruiting for a Head of Finance and Operations to join their small team and to play a key role in their next phase of development.
This is a full time, permanent role to be based remotely and from their offices in Farringdon, London, one day per week. This is a stand-alone role with no direct reports however will be supported by a part time external accountant and specialist service providers. Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Finance and Operations to take ownership of all internal operations that ensure the organisation’s effectiveness, accountability, compliance and resilience. This is a people and process focused role for someone who thrives on structure and order while keeping equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility at the heart of how things are done. You will be a champion of systems, a confident financial lead, and a culture-first manager who ensures their internal structures serve their people, values and mission. You will not need to implement everything yourself, but will ensure the operational environment is fit for purpose, collaborative, inclusive and ready for scale.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding and experience of overseeing a finance function and working hands-on both operationally and strategically. You will demonstrate excellent relationship building skills and bring experience and a drive to oversee other aspects of the role including People and Culture, Governance and Compliance, and Operations and Systems. You may not need extensive experience in all of these areas but as a minimum will be confident and keen to oversee these aspects of the role. Whilst we are open to considering applications from senior candidates with breadth of experience across all areas this could also be an ideal role for someone with strong finance experience who is hungry to develop and grow within a broader role.
