The role

Day-to-day, you’ll support production teams by planning and monitoring engineering requirements across all stages of the project lifecycle.
1. Support delivery and monitoring of all shop engineering requirements for submarine projects.
2. Manage emerging shop needs during project planning and execution; report non-enablement issues.
3. Track equipment progress to identify potential delays early and inform the Submarine Production Planner (SPP).
4. Build collaborative, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders to support project delivery.
5. Participate in review and stand-up meetings, ensuring accurate reporting and fostering personal development.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard
Essential experience of the Production Planner
6. Effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Proactive mindset with a drive to succeed and grow within a busy team.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Experience with SAP and submarine systems preferred; training provided.
10. Skilled in creating and developing reports using MS Excel.
Qualifications for the Production Planner
11. ONC or NVQ Level 3 in an engineering or a functional discipline. Relevant knowledge and experience in a similar role may be considered and supported by positive feedback via their PDR (evidence required).
