CR Civil Engineering
part of the RSK Group are a family run business, based in the Midlands, operating throughout England and Wales. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Rotherham, UK.
The Role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
Responsibilities
* Maintain contract documentation and advise on tender and post contract matters.
* Preparation and issue of contractual letters/emails to clients and/or sub-contractors.
* Site Measurement.
* Preparation and submission of Early warnings.
* Preparation, submission and agreement of variations & Compensation Events.
* Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts.
* Agreement and certification of sub-contractor’s interim valuations and final account.
* Liaison with Site Management regarding issuing and updating programmes.
* Monthly preparation of CTC’s.
* Manage junior members of staff as required.
Key Requirements / Qualifications
* Current CSCS card.
* NVQ level 6.
* HND/HNC/BSc Quantity Surveying.
* Understanding and experience of mainly the highways and water sector.
* Full understanding of business needs, clientele, and audiences.
* Strong strategic marketing skills.
* Energy and drive to grow the business.
* Full understanding of business processes, operations, PQQ and Tender Library.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Willingness to undertake further training and development.
* Understanding of construction contracts, predominately NEC4.
* First Aid.
