We’re now launching our agency and looking for an experienced Talent Agent to help build and develop our list.
This is an opportunity to join the agency at an early stage and play a meaningful role in shaping its growth, systems, culture, and approach to representation.
The Role
This is a part‑time, hybrid role based in our central London studio (N1, Islington).
The successful candidate will initially work approximately 20 hours per week, with the intention of increasing hours as the agency grows.
We’re looking for someone with strong industry knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for talent development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with actors, building relationships across the industry, and helping performers achieve long‑term career growth.
Compensation & Contract Structure
* Fixed 12‑month contract.
* Initial commitment of approximately 20 hours per week.
* Salary paid on a pro‑rata basis from a £30,000 full‑time equivalent salary.
* This equates to an initial salary of approximately £15,000 per annum during the 20‑hour‑per‑week phase.
* Opportunity to move into a full‑time position after 3 months, with salary adjusted proportionally in line with the £30,000 full‑time equivalent salary.
* Generous commission structure in addition to base salary.
* Salary, commission structure, and overall package reviewed at the end of the 12‑month contract period.
This role does not begin at a £30,000 salary. The successful candidate will initially work approximately 20 hours per week and will be compensated on a pro‑rata basis until the role transitions to full‑time.
Role Responsibilities
* Represent and submit actors across television, film, theatre, and commercials.
* Manage day‑to‑day casting activity, including submissions, self‑tapes, availability checks, negotiations, and client communication.
* Work on the selection and development of the agency’s list, reviewing applications and meeting prospective clients.
* Work closely with actors to ensure Spotlight profiles, headshots, reels, self‑tapes, and other materials are maintained to a high professional standard.
* Provide guidance on career development, casting strategy, and long‑term progression.
* Build and maintain relationships with casting directors, production companies, and industry professionals.
* Identify and create opportunities aligned with each actor’s strengths and career goals.
* Collaborate with the wider Akta team to integrate training, workshops, and studio resources into client development plans.
* Support the ongoing growth and development of the agency’s systems, processes, and client experience.
* Advocate for diverse and underrepresented talent throughout the representation process.
About You
* You have a minimum of one (1) year of professional experience working within a talent agency or talent representation environment.
* You are confident using Spotlight, including submissions, profile management, and agency‑side processes.
* You have a strong understanding of the UK casting landscape and the day‑to‑day realities of talent representation.
* You are highly organised and able to manage multiple clients, submissions, and deadlines simultaneously.
* You are comfortable working directly with actors and supporting their professional development.
* You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* You enjoy building relationships and maintaining professional industry connections.
* You are proactive, self‑motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
