Care Assistant (Darlington | Full Time Nights | £12.25/hr)
Location: Willow Green Care Home, Eastbourne Road, Darlington.
Job Overview: Provide care and support to residents in the latter stages of life. Deliver bright care, create fantastic memories, build lasting relationships. Support a busy care home with flexible hours, alternate weekends, and real impact.
* Role-specific Duties:
o Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery, respecting wishes and preferences.
o Contribute to efficient operation of the service.
o Support residents to maintain relationships and community connections.
o Follow care plans and other supporting information.
o Inform the Senior Care Assistant/Nurse of any changes in a resident’s needs.
o Promote and safeguard welfare of those supported.

o Develop effective working relationships with colleagues.
o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
o Maintain and develop relationships with residents’ loved ones.

Essential Criteria:
* Qualifications: Good English (written and verbal).
* Skills:
o Proficient written skills to maintain care plans and records in line with policy.
o Communication skills to build rapport with residents and inform colleagues.
o Problem‑solving skills to adapt rapidly, recognise/report protection situations.
o Ability to assist residents with daily tasks following their care plan (bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, toileting).
* Previous Experience: Previous experience is not required.
