The Role
They’re looking for a Consultant Ecologist (or more senior) to join the team.
This role offers the chance to:
* Lead and contribute to a variety of ecological projects
* Support and mentor more junior team members
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Play a key role in delivering high-quality consultancy work
A bat licence would be highly beneficial for this position.
What They’re Looking For
Essential:
* Degree in Ecology or a related field
* ~3+ years’ experience in ecological consultancy
* Experience with project delivery and some level of team or line management
* Strong understanding of environmental legislation and policy
* Good report writing skills and experience reviewing technical reports
* Experience with Ecological Impact Assessments
* GIS and database management experience
* Ability to build and manage client relationships
* Full, clean driving licence
* Membership with CIEEM (or working towards appropriate level)
Desirable:
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
* Protected species licences (e.g. bats, GCN)
* Specialism in areas such as ornithology or bats
* Experience as an EPS licence holder
* Interest or experience in habitat creation and biodiversity enhancement
