Role Summary
We are looking for a full time Facilities Support Services Supervisor to join the Trust, bringing strong operational oversight alongside a passion for people development. The role requires a proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges and drive continuous improvement across the services.
Full time role: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day between 08.00 to 16.00. Flexibility may be required; additional hours may be needed for annual leave and sickness absence.

Responsibilities
* Provide an effective, patient‑focused Facilities Service (FM) in line with the agreed service portfolio, including (but not limited to) cleaning (Periodic MIU, Theatre, Endoscopy, site cleans, and post‑outbreak deep cleans) to meet NHS Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
* Manage removals: ensure items for recycling are stored and advertised on the Trust’s recycling platform (Warpit) and that all items for disposal are segregated and disposed of in the correct skip according to Trust policies.
* Maintain a flexible approach to work and provide proactive support to staff through hands‑on involvement across all disciplines as required, including operation of cleaning equipment and manual handling of loads.
* Supervise the Facilities Support Service Team, ensuring work is completed to required standards and in line with Trust policies.
* Support the monitoring of service performance, assist with resolving day‑to‑day operational issues, and maintain accurate records to support compliance with health and safety, risk assessments, infection prevention & control and other regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to people development by mentoring and coaching team members, leading by example and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
