Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
This an exciting opportunity for caring, compassionate and talented support workers to support 1 person. This is a complex mental health service - supporting one lady.
She loves her family and would love to receive support in building positive relationships.
With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
Shifts - 2 to 1 support during the day working 8am 8pm
Night shifts are 8pm till 8am.
There would be some sleep in shifts available also
You must have experience within complex mental health and have a good understanding of positive behaviour support to be considered for this role.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.
If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.
You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.
During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
