Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (MSK)
The Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services) invites applications for a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to work at RAF Halton, Aylesbury. The position is full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, and will close on 01 July 2026.

Job responsibilities
As the Regional Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist you will deliver comprehensive inpatient and residential rehabilitation services for entitled personnel in accordance with Defence Medical Services Guidelines and Defence Rehabilitation Policy. Your role includes:
* Providing clinical leadership and interventions for each residential course in partnership with the wider clinical team.
* Up‑to‑date assessment, management and review of musculoskeletal disorders, including sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.
* Delivering specialist outpatient interventions such as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT).
* Contributing to multidisciplinary service improvement, including triage and the Multidisciplinary Injury Assessment Clinic (MIAC).
* Supervising and supporting clinical staff, students and less experienced physiotherapists.
* Maintaining professional standards in line with HCPC guidelines and Civil Service core standards.
Registered & Membership Requirements
* Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered physiotherapist.
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP).
Experience
* Relevant clinical experience in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, including sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.
* Experience supervising or supporting junior staff and students in a clinical setting.
Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
