Project Engineer – FMCG Manufacturing
We’ve partnered with a global FMCG manufacturer who are continuing to significantly invest in innovation and their ongoing growth. To support this investment, we are searching for a Project Engineer to join their production facility in Harrogate.

As part of the plant engineering team, you’ll be supporting strategic, operational, and policy-related aspects of the facility, leading on various CapEx projects of up to £2m, and ensuring technical delivery, budget adherence, and project timeslines are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver end-to-end project management for multiple capital projects up to £1-2M in value.
* Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to align project priorities and budgets.
* Manage capital forecasts and execution in partnership with finance and procurement teams.
* Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
* Prepare and evaluate tender documentation and engage with suppliers and contractors.
* Support contract negotiations in alignment with procurement strategies.
* Liaise with engineering teams to ensure technical consistency and best practice.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years’ relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG, food, or beverage production.
* Strong working knowledge of integrated automation and controls technology.
* Exposure to high-speed packaging systems design and process engineering is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of manufacturing plant utility systems would be advantageous.
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Well-organised and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Willingness to work flexible hours during critical project phases, such as installations or commissioning.
