Job context
North Yorkshire Councils Property and Land Estate is managed under a Centralised Property Function, or Corporate Landlord Model and consists of over 3,000 land and property assets over a geographical area of 3,341sq miles. The portfolio consists of operational offices, schools, operational buildings delivering front line services, farmland, legacy/surplus land and assets, industrial units, private residential and commercial holdings. It also works with several partners to support land and building requirements including the Police, NHS and 3rd sector organisations.
The post holder will work directly for the Principal Estates Manager, and report through to the Head of Strategic Property; supporting colleagues within the team in delivering a range of Property and Estate management functions, embedding the Corporate Landlord Model strongly within the team and the wider organisation.
The post holder will lead on a specified large and diverse portfolio of properties and projects as determined by the Estates Manager; leading, co-ordinating and managing the property transactions, tenant engagement, workloads and management of the allocated portfolio.
